School Council
Welcome to Phillimore Community Primary School Council's homepage.
Our elected council members are also our Rights Respecting School Ambassadors.
Aims of the School Council:
Who are our councillors?
Children in Y2 – Y6 can be a councillor. Each class has a council member voted for by their peers. Those who wish to be considered make a statement to their class about why they should be the class representative. The elections are held in late September.
Our councillors are expected to hold a class council soon after each meeting to share and communicate issues and events. Issues can be brought up to share with the school council at their meeting.
Our priorities this year:

We will continue our work with Unicef (as a Gold Rights Respecting School) and take part in the outright Campaign – this year’s theme is International Aid
Early Phase are supporting Water Aid
Middle Phase are supporting Unicef- refugee

Upper Phase are supporting Action Aid and buying school back packs

We are working with the Local Authority on Safer and more Sustainable Journeys to school.

(Councillors, parents and staff have been asked their views)

Our AOB time allows for children to bring up items that their class want to discuss.
