FS2-Y6 admission procedure

When you receive a letter telling you that your child has been allocated a place at Phillimore you should make contact with us as soon as possible to arrange admission.

The school is separately notified and will also try to get in touch with you via the information provided to us by the admissions department of Sheffield City Council.

If you do not make contact and we cannot contact you, your child will be referred to the children missing education team.

Mrs Sutton manages admission to all year groups FS2 to Y6 and will invite you and your child to come to an admission meeting.

At the meeting,

Mrs Sutton will gather information about you and your child such as;

  • preferred name as well as legal name

  • previous school information including details of any additional needs or support
  • medical information including dietary
  • information on languages spoken
  • religion and ethnicity
  • details of any support services currently or previously in place

Mrs Sutton will then provide you with all the information you need about Phillimore, including;

  • a start date

  • who other key staff are - Head Teacher, SENCO etc.
  • uniform expectations
  • attendance expectations
