Safeguarding

Child Protection Statement.

Phillimore Community Primary School recognises our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils. We will provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued.

We will be alert to the signs of abuse and maltreatment and follow our procedures to ensure children receive support, protection and justice.

Core Principles

  • Our responsibility to safeguard and promote children's welfare is paramount.
  • Safer children make more successful learners.

A wealth of policies, procedures, and guidance supports the school in our efforts to achieve the above.

You will find all supporting documents here on the school website or by request to the school office.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Rebecca Sutton

Statutory guidance

In addition to our bespoke Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, Phillimore Community Primary School adheres to Working Together 2018, which makes it clear that education settings must comply with its requirements, with the current version of Keeping Children Safe in Education and with any additional requirements placed on them by their local safeguarding partnership.
